Met Gala Red Carpet 2013

Hi Guys,

I hope that you have all been well since my last post!

Yesterday the Met Gala took place and wow! was I blown away at some of the dresses on the red carpet! This evening I will be sharing some pictures of several celebrities and what they wore. This celeb-fest welcomes the Metropolitan Museum of Art's annual costume institute exhibit.
The theme for the exhibition is"Punk: Chaos to Couture" so obviously we are expecting to see celebrities really go that extra mile! But, did they get it right? That is the question, let's have a look!

Beyonce in Givenchy Couture by Riccardo Tisci
I'm not entirely sure about the top and belt of the dress but I do like what's happening on the bottom half. It totally reflects Beyonce, the diva, the queen! walking down with a trail of flames.

Kim Kardashian in Riccardo Tisci
Errr...hmmmm....not really my cup of tea. I have seen other comments like "she looks like she's wearing her curtains . I have to say, I have to agree!! matching shoes?? come on Kim!

Madonna in Givenchy and Casadei Shoes
Madonna really did follow the theme didn't she!! I'm not convinced at the couture part but certainly the punk! A 'no' for me I'm afraid.

Cameron Diaz in Stella McCartney
Yummy Diaz! I love this dress, and the colour too. She looks elegant and flamboyant in this electric blue number.

Miley Cyrus in Marc Jacobs
Minus the hair style, Miley would have looked great I think!

Jennifer Lopez in Michael Kors
Jennifer unleashes the animal within her in this seductive piece!!

Nicole Richie in Topshop Couture
Snow queen maybe? Funnily enough I liked the way she looked, It's punk and couture indeed.

Kristen Stewart in Stella McCartney

Katie Holmes in Calvin Klein

Gwyneth Paltrow in Valentino Couture

Kerry Washington in Vera Wang
Jennifer Lawrence in Christian Dior
Cara Delevingne in Burberry
Yay! one of my favourite models. Cara rocked this piece by Burberry - Model behaviour!

Blake Lively in Gucci
Ms Lively looked stunning in this! Classy with touch of punk on the bottom of the dress. Bold yet simple. I think she got it just right.

Rita Ora in Thakoon

Heidi Klum in Marchesa
Nicki Minaj in Tommy Hilfiger

BEST DRESSED

Anne Hathaway in Valentino
Anne Hathaway absolutely murdered the red carpet for me! I am certain that this dress/design was perfectly and carefully picked. It corresponds with the theme fantastically, it's sexy, classy and demonstrates a bold statement. Anne with her blonde cut also put the icing on the cake. Love it love it love it!!

Who was best dressed for you? Let me know!

Until next post

Flo xoxo

I am really impressed with H&M as we have already seen them make it to the red carpet and Paris Fashion Week. Now they are blowing us away with beautiful evening wears! I am super thrilled at the collection. It looks high end and you would not even believe the prices!! Affordable luxury I call it, similar to Zara! Love it.

My Favourite Jackets in Store now!

Hi Guys,

I hope you have been enjoying the new look of my blog! It took me ages to do but I'm so proud of the outcome!

Now as we are entering the season of spring I thought it was only right that I show you some of my favourite jackets suitable for spring, they are all in stores now. Take a look..

Malene Birger £279.00 which can be found at www.my-wardrobe.com
I love the colour of the jacket/blazer. It's bright and vibrant and demonstrates the coming of summer but reminds you that we're not quite there yet!

Topshop £75.00
I am in love with the print on this jacket. It has both a girly and boy-sh attitude to it because it's a Floral Biker jacket...get it!? :-)

Zara £59.99
Zara is most definitely my favourite high street store, I am completely obsessed with their collections. I always say Zara gives us high end fashion at affordable prices! And they sure have by giving us a little culture with this tribal print jacket.

Oasis £65.00
This is my type of jacket, love blanket jackets. Gives you that classy coverage.

Mango £69.99
As I always say, the peplum reign is here to stay! Why not treat yourself to a vibrant pink peplum blazer!

Jigsaw £198.00
There you have it guys! I hope this has given you some ideas of what to wear for spring. I will be posting up more of my favourite pieces from various luxury and high street brands!

More on MFW...

We have 1 more day left at Milan Fashion week and then Paris will take over.

Lets have a look at some of my favourites below..

Iceberg

I must admit I haven't looked at any of Iceberg's stuff in quite a while. I remember in the nineties when my big sister used to absolutely looove wearing Iceberg. A couple of the pieces below remind me of those times; especially the pink/fushia leather trousers! in one of the pictures below.

Love the leather and cashmere infused jumper!

My girl Cara again ;-)

Versace

I was not really impressed with this collection however I chose these particular pictures simply because of the coats. I do like the coats, the length and the colours chosen.

Marni

I love the fur scarf, I just hope it's not too heavy on her neck!

That leather top is gorgeous! Would pop that on with orange trousers!!

I call it the year of the fur for Marni! I adore what is being done here with fur, especially how fur has been used several ways- a scarf, part of a dress and top. Cool!! I think this collection really reflects the season it's showcasing for.

More on MFW tomorrow and look out for the Oscars - Red Carpet!
